If a + b = 10 and a – b = 20, then what will be the value of a/b?

Here I’m trying to explain the details.  Hope you will be clear your question from my explanation –

Explanation:
According to the data given in the question,
a + b =10 ———–i
a – b = 20———–ii
On adding equations I and ii we get,
2a = 30
∴ a = 15
Substituting the value of ‘a’ in equation I we get,
15 + b = 10
∴ b = 10 – 15
∴ b = -5

Hence we have the values of ‘a’ and ‘b’ as a = 15 and b = -5
Now, we have to find out the value of a/b
∴ a/b = 15/-5
∴a/b = 3/-1 = -3

Answer=  -3
