Thanks for your questions“Is there good business for vegan/vegetarian cafes or restaurants in the UK?”
I think this questions cafe or restaurant is very important for all like yours. Here I’m trying to give your answers in brief.

I visited Europe for the first time last year and got the chance to visit London. Out of the places I visited which also included Belgium and France, the UK was the most vegetarian-friendly.

I’m not very knowledgeable about the vegan/vegetarian culture there, but from what I saw, I’d say that the market for vegan/vegetarian eateries is substantial. After all, most of the store- bought items I saw tend to be labeled with statements like “Suitable for Vegetarians”, which I loved, but it also made me suspicious of items that lacked this. Also, I’ve seen advertisements for vegetarian/vegan festivals. I even got the chance to visit an all-vegetarian pub! I imagine this may be due to the large Indian population residing there, a good amount of whom I believe may be vegetarian – not to mention other reasons like health and ethics.

Having said that, it didn’t mean I could freely eat everything on the menu (I don’t eat anything in the Allium family) but it was great to at least not have to worry about meat as well.
