What are some good healthy restaurants near Carnegie Mellon?
So I need to know about this in details. Please some one help me.
Thanks for your questions “What are some good healthy restaurants near Carnegie Mellon”?
I think this questions is very important for all like yours. Here I’m trying to give your answers in brief.
I’m a big fan of whole foods but that’s not exactly a restaurant. Also love chipotle, which is reasonably healthy, depending on your standards.
On campus, the only thing I approve of is Au Bon Pain, which is hella delicious and mostly healthy if you shy away from the pastries and sweets. Overall, Pittsburgh has a largely unexplored, yet vast world of food and restaurants waiting to be discovered. I’ve eaten at some expensive and nice healthy restaurants near downtown by the dusquene incline, for example.
If you’re obsessed with your health like I am, the best way to go about things honestly is to just go to trader joes or whole foods and start cooking your own food. It will save you an immense amount of money and it gives you full control over what you are putting in your body.
The main reason I don’t eat out is because it’s a relative waste of money, and your range of healthful food options is limited at best. You can buy food from whole foods and still be saving money. Everything in that store pretty much has the potential to be better than anything you can buy in a restaurant. Besides, cooking is a valuable life skill that will stay with you forever. Not to mention… It’s also pretty fun and it impresses girls if you know how to cook.
One last thing, it’s great that you are looking for healthy food options. When I was a freshman I didn’t give a fuck what I was eating, and I went from 155/160 lbs to 175/178ish in just a year. I was pretty weak too because I wasn’t lifting at the time, and I think I struggled to bench 135 back then. The freshman 15 is real af and it can and will happen to you if you don’t make a conscious effort to stay fit. Next summer I started cooking my own food, and within 6 months I dropped down to 140, and then 135. I replaced all the fat with muscle and now I can bench 175 for five reps, and many other things. The point of saying this was to emphasize that I wasn’t just not eating. I ate plenty of food and built clean muscle.
