    Thanks for your questions, Your question is –
    If a + b = 10 and a – b = 20, then what will be the value of a/b?

    Here I’m trying to explain the details.  Hope you will be clear your question from my explanation –

    Explanation:
    According to the data given in the question,
    a + b =10 ———–i
    a – b = 20———–ii
    On adding equations I and ii we get,
    2a = 30
    ∴ a = 15
    Substituting the value of ‘a’ in equation I we get,
    15 + b = 10
    ∴ b = 10 – 15
    ∴ b = -5

    Hence we have the values of ‘a’ and ‘b’ as a = 15 and b = -5
    Now, we have to find out the value of a/b
    ∴ a/b = 15/-5
    ∴a/b = 3/-1 = -3

    Answer=  -3
