What is Strong Password?

A password is that kind of password which is very hard to detect by humans and computer programs. This kind of is very difficult to detect by humans and computer programs. So a strong password effectively protecting your data from unauthorized access.

A strong password consists of at least 12 characters that are a combination of letters, numbers and symbols (A, a, @, #, $, %, etc.) if allowed. Passwords are typically case-sensitive, so a strong password contains letters in both uppercase and lowercase. Strong passwords also do not contain words that can be found in a dictionary or parts of the users or owner’s name.

Strong Password Requirements

A strong password has:

  1. At least 12 characters long
  2. Uppercase letters. such as: ABCD
  3. Lowercase letters. such as: abcd
  4. Numbers. such as: 1234
  5. Symbols and symbolic character. such as ` ! ” ? $ ? % ^ & * ( ) _ – + = { [ } ] : ; @ ‘ ~ # | \ < , > . ? /
  6. As for example: [{M.m_u/7733]}

A strong password is not:

  1. Less than 8 characters
  2. Create password by using your login or username. as – ID: admin , Pass: admin
  3. Your name, your friend’s name, your family member’s name, your son’s or daughter’s name or a common or your favorite person’s name.
  4. A dictionary word.
  5. Like your previous passwords.
  6. Your date of birth
  7. A keyboard pattern,
  8. such as: qwerty, wrong password, lost password, forget password, forget username, qwertyuiop, asdfghjkl, 1122334455 or 12345678

Example of Strong password: [{M.M_u}/6644@00]

Explanation: In this above 12 characters password, you have seen that I have to combine letters in both uppercase and lowercase, numbers and symbols. This is an example of a strong password.

Suppose your favorite actor’s name is Saint, Thailand. So if you use “Saint” as your password, then this will be a easy password. But if you use this password like this, “SainT,Thai.1st-My_favourite/Actor

this will be a strong password because I have fill up all condition of Strong Password Requirements

A strong password has:

Your password will not be a strong password if your password like this,

  • Less than 8 characters. 12345, ABCDE, abcde
  • Create password by using your login or username. as – ID: admin _ Pass: admin,  ID: admin _ Pass: 12345678
  • Your name, your friend’s name, your family member’s name, your son’s or daughter’s name or a common or your favorite person’s name.
  • A dictionary word.
  • Like your previous passwords.
  • Your date of birth
  • A keyboard pattern,
  • such as: qwerty, wrong password, lost password, forget password, forget username, qwertyuiop, asdfghjkl, 1122334455 or 12345678

If you use this Easy password on your website easily then A hacker can access your website easily and destroy.
