Online education is also called distance education. Basically, the education institute provides the same classes and environment online. So the classes are all digital and online. They can be live or previous courses. And then the courses and examinations are all online too.
Even certifications provide online training.  An example is of online ITIL training – you can register and take online classes anywhere in the world.
